 While our objective at “A Café au Play” is to provide a safe, clean, and fun indoor infant and toddler’s playspace; we also offer various innovative, yet kid-friendly “Parent & Child” Workshops that are led by our friendly staff members. Some of our fun “Parent & Child” Workshops involve arts & crafts, music, circle time activities, cookie decorating, dance, etc. Please check “Our Schedule” for dates and times of the various “Parent & Child” Workshops that we offer.
Parent and Child Workshops
Drop In Fee: $15/Workshop
- 5 Workshop Pass: $65
- 8 Workshop Pass: $95
Please note that Workshop Passes must be used within 6 months from date of purchase
- Special themed workshop sessions will be available on holidays like Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- Workshop fees for these events will vary in price between $18-$20 to cover costs of materials.
- Parent & Child Workshops are limited to 18 children per session. In order to ensure your child a spot in the workshop you want, be sure to call ahead to reserve a spot.
- No charge for Open Play ON the day of your workshop
DESIGN, DOODLE & DAZZLE – This fun arts & crafts workshop allows toddlers to flex their fine motor skills while expressing their creativity. Not only do these workshops encourage children to self-express, they inspire children to use their imagination. Through creative age-appropriate crafts and projects, little ones will explore various art mediums, such as paints, glue, clay, and markers to create a simple keepsake craft each week. Workshops require parent participation; however, children are encouraged to use their imaginations independently, while parents and the class teacher offer direction and guidance. (45 Minute Workshop available for 18mths and up).
MEDLEY OF FUN – This Parent & Child workshop is not only a lot of fun for toddlers; it will also help children build social, intellectual, and emotional skills because it encompasses a little of everything... a medley. Both independent and group learning activities, such as story-telling, circle time, song-singing, art, music and play will be conducted in order to help children build their self-confidence, while also placing an emphasis on communication and cooperation. Workshops require parent participation. (1 Hour Workshop available for 12-24 months and for 2 years and up)
MINI MUSIC MAKERS - Music is a part of all our lives… so why not introduce your little ones to age appropriate music here with us at A Café au Play. Not only will our Parent & Child Music workshops stimulate your child, they will allow children to explore music through song, dance and instruments, while placing an emphasis on rhythm, pitch, melody, and beat. Our “Mini Music Makers” program will focus on tonal patterns, rhythm, name recognition, as well as movement to help engage and stimulate children while having fun. Workshops require parent participation. (45 Minute Classes Available for 6-18 months and 18 Months-5 Years)
LEARN & PLAY – Structured with infants in mind, our Learn & Play Parent & Child workshop encourage development of the various senses through learning and playing. By providing an environment that is stimulating, your infant will explore and discover various sights, textures, and sounds. Infant age appropriate activities will include circle time songs, puppets, scarf play, tummy time, as well as parachute play, movement games, and bubbles. Workshops require parent participation (45 Minute Workshop available for Pre-Walkers 6-12 months)
